Leadership in Pastoral Ministry

The position may begin in late summer or fall, 2025, with some flexibility about starting date. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. We will review applications as they are received, and we promise prompt acknowledgement of each application. Applicants are welcomed to submit a portion of a recorded prepared worship message (sermon), if possible. This may be required later in the process.

We seek applicants with enthusiasm for pastoral ministry among Friends. Vision and creative energy in meeting our needs and challenges will be important assets, along with skills and a caring heart for pastoral care. Applications must come from those who are Quaker, or who have significant knowledge of and experience with Quaker faith and practice.

Given our needs, restrictions on international hiring, and the current immigration environment, we do not encourage applicants from outside of the U.S. The exception might be a highly-qualified candidate who has already been granted official residential status in the U.S.

Coordinating Pastoral Minister position is intended to be full-time. However, we remain open to flexibility about time commitment based on an applicant’s availability, skills, and interests. Compensation will be based on qualifications and years of experience in pastoral ministry and/or related work. Base salary for a full-time Coordinating Pastoral Minister will be roughly in the range of $50,000 to $62,000, benefits additional: retirement, health insurance, paid time off, and professional development stipend. The successful applicant will serve as a part of a staff ministry team and will participate centrally in building the balance of the team.
